All right, I know that there's probably not a person in the world who reads this thing, since I have yet to tell my friends that I caved to another 'trend' and created an account on this site. But now that I'm here, I could as well introduce myself, I guess.
The name's Ann-Sophie, actually, not Anna Sophia people occasionally call me that to piss me off, though it doesn't work as well as it did when I was ten.

Now that I'm nineteen years old, high school graduate and English major-to-be at the Bonn University aka B.U. (which I have taken to label 'Bullshit Unlimited'

, I'm way too busy riding the 'oh God I survived high school' wave to care much what my friends call me, albeit in terms of endearment.

I live in a small town in the far west of Germany, Europe. Earth, third planet from the sun. Solar System. Universe. Okay, shutting up.
You might ask yourself now why I'm majoring in English, seeing as it's obviously not my mother tongue (die ist nämlich Deutsch ^_^). Well, in all honesty, it's simply because I absolutely adore the English language it's always been my favorite (and best) subject at school, fifty percent of the novels I read in my free time are in English, and my not-so-secret dream is to be an English novelist one day.

Until then, I'm planning to be a tutor or a translator, whatever appeals most to me once I'm a Master of Arts. University lectures start on October 13, and I'm already convinced that they're going to be
awesome. I took one look at my timetable and started laughing out loud my workload will be 17hrs per week, and that's just a freakin' joke compared to my high school days when I had to shoulder 40hrs on occasion. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it with a giddiness that exasperates some of my friends, and I'm prepared to work to the best of my ability! ^_^
What else could I talk about...? Right, hobbies. I spend about 90% of my free-time both writing and reading, though quite a bit of that is simultaneously devoted to listening to music, my greatest source of inspiration.

I love to draw, though the muse sometimes hides under a rock and doesn't come out for a staggering amount of time, and I quite enjoy shopping, as long as it's peppered with trips to quiet little cafés where I can indulge in a probably lethal consumption of tea. I like being outside with the great digital camera I got for my last birthday (it's a Canon Digital Ixus 75!), though I often can be seen running from some harmless bug that happened to cross my way, yelling something like, "Die, foul spawn of insect hell!"

I love watching TV shows and movies, as well as playing the piano, which I've done for about 13 years and still enjoy very much. In fact, I plan on learning to play the cello soon, too. Ever since I got my driver's license around a year ago, I can also add driving to my lengthy list of hobbies, preferably to the tunes of some cheerful song or other.
I don't like spicy food, ignorant people, bad fanfiction and the like. Also, I run in fear from all kinds of planes, which is the only reason I haven't been to any English-speaking country yet but well, I will be in about two year's time since I have to do a semester abroad. I'm still unsure about where to go, but no matter whether I'll choose the UK or the USA in the end, it's one of my greatest dreams to see the old Cavendish Laboratory in Cambridge, England. Because I'm a molecular genetics nerd, and that's the place where James Watson and Francis Crick discovered the DNA. *dreamy sigh*
When it comes to music, I'll listen to almost anything. I adore soundtracks and instrumentals just as much as Alternative Rock and Symphonic Metal, classical music and Broadway musicals take turns on my playlists, and there are few songs and genres I truly dislike. However, they include almost all kinds of jazz, blues, and a German atrocity that's called "easy listening," I believe. XD
I'm not sure when I'll get around to posting pictures or photos on this site I'm not nearly as good an artist as some of the brilliant members of this community, to be honest, though I do my very best. I'll probably end up posting photos once in a while because I love photography, specifically that of architecture. My sister frequently tells me I should have taken the Domestic Architecture course... but well, I chose English, as y'all know.

If you totally want to, you can also find me on
LJ and
FFN.
And I believe that is all for now dA looks like a spiffy site, and I'll definitely hang around for a while. So, hi everyone!

Oh, and before I forget--my current hope (which may or may not be realistic) is to have something finished for your giftfic to send you by Christmas! It's currently 40 pages long, but I think I have long way to go still... I hope you like it!
OMG, I'm so excited, I really really hope you like it!
But awww, I'm blushing! I'm not that good, really! I still have a long ways to go... And I'm totally stressing about characterization at this point. Starscream is hard
(But, uh, also kind of addictive... >.< He's worked his way into another fic. I'm finally starting to understand why he's in so much fanfiction!)
...Anyways, I really do hope you like it!
You know, I totally wouldn't have challenged you to write something about Starscream if I hadn't thought you could totally do it
